Servers in colocation: serviced on site, without removing them.

When a server sits in colocation or housing at an Italian datacenter, pulling it out for repair is often impractical — cost, downtime, contractual complexity. We work directly at the hosting site, in coordination with the datacenter, with individually accredited engineers and compliant procedures.

How we work

Coordination, access, intervention.

  • Coordination with the hosting datacenter: access request, service window, liaison with the facility manager.
  • Engineer accreditation: our staff is accredited at the main datacenters in Lombardy and across Italy.
  • On-site intervention: compliance with the site's physical security and operational policies (rack management, supervision, documentation).
  • Report: written documentation handed to the customer on completion, including pre/post logs and a breakdown of the components replaced.
Where we operate

The main Italian datacenters.

We work regularly at:

  • Aruba — Ponte San Pietro (PSP), one of the sites we visit most often — dedicated page.
  • Datacenters in the Milan area: the main colocation facilities in Lombardy.
  • Other Italian datacenters on request, with accreditation to be arranged ahead of the intervention.
FAQ

The questions we get most often.

Do we need an existing contract with the datacenter to authorise your access?

Yes. The customer (the holder of the colocation/housing contract) formally authorises our access to the hosting datacenter. Datacenters typically have standard procedures for issuing that authorisation — we follow them in coordination with the customer.

Do you also work at datacenters where you are not already accredited?

Yes, subject to new accreditation. A first intervention at a new site may take a few days for formal clearance; subsequent interventions are immediate. For emergencies at new sites, we assess case by case.
