Coordinated remote hands
For simple jobs (hot-swap disk replacement, redundant PSU): we coordinate with the hosting DC's remote hands service and supply detailed instructions. We stay in contact throughout the work.
Remote handsReplacement of appliances, racks, disks, motherboards, power supplies. Complete on-site hardware work, fully in-house: the technician who opens your rack is RiparazioneServer.com staff, not a subcontractor. Operations base in Melzo (MI), strategically close to Milan, Bergamo, Brescia and the surrounding belt.
The standard model for anyone with servers in a datacenter is this: a remote hands contract with the DC, and when work is needed someone from the DC puts their hands on your equipment following instructions over the phone. It works for simple operations (pressing a button, unplugging a cable, swapping a hot-swap disk against explicit instructions).
It does not work when the job requires:
These cases call for a technician who understands the system, not just one who touches it.
Our operations base in Melzo (MI) is strategically placed: Milan east ring road + A4 motorway towards Bergamo/Brescia + A1 towards Lodi/Piacenza. Typical response times under 3 hours across the high-density DC belt.
Milan-area DCs (Caldera, Settimo, San Donato, Lainate, Cernusco, Segrate, Cologno, Carugate). Very high-density belt.
Including the large campuses in the surrounding belt — see the dedicated Ponte San Pietro page.
Enterprise DCs and private machine rooms, excellent coverage via the A4.
DCs in the northern belt, access via A4 / Rho-Monza.
Coverage of the Como province via the A9.
DCs in western upper Lombardy, access via A8/A9.
Via the west ring road + A7.
Neighboring province, fast response via the A1.
Access via the SS36, standard coverage.
Proportionate lead times, planning recommended.
Eastern Lombardy province, planned intervention.
Alpine province, scheduled intervention. Urgent cases assessed individually.

Remote handsFor complex diagnostics or repairs that take time: we arrange tracked shipping of the server or component to our lab. Full repair, testing, return shipping, re-rack support via remote hands.
In-lab repairFor high-criticality cases, or ones needing specific on-site skills outside Lombardy: we assess a direct intervention. Planned, under a dedicated commercial agreement.
Talk to usYes, fully in-house. We operate directly in datacenters across Lombardy — Milan and its province, Bergamo, Brescia, Como, Monza, Varese, Pavia, Lodi, Lecco. Replacement of appliances, racks, disks, motherboards, power supplies, on-site hardware repair, on-site data recovery where feasible. We do not depend on third parties for physical work: the technician who opens your rack is RiparazioneServer.com staff.
Yes. We manage coordination with the datacenter's security staff, access requests (visitor pass or recurring access), each facility's specific security procedures (badge, escort, window booking), and compliance with the customer's policies. Most Lombardy DCs require variable advance notice (typically 24-72h for non-recurring access) — we plan the intervention accordingly. For critical emergencies, we work to the shortest lead times the DC allows.
Our operations base is in Melzo (MI), strategically reachable via the A4 eastbound (Bergamo, Brescia) and via the east ring road towards Milan and southwards. For DCs in the Milan belt and central Lombardy: typical response times of 1-3 hours once access has been authorized. For outlying provinces (Pavia, Mantova, Sondrio): proportionate times. For emergencies, the bottleneck is almost always the DC's access authorization rather than our travel.
Three options, assessed case by case: (1) we coordinate the work with the hosting datacenter's remote hands service, providing them with detailed technical instructions for the replacement; (2) for cases that require complex diagnostics, we arrange tracked shipping of the server or component to our lab in Melzo, carry out the work, and ship it back; (3) for high-criticality cases, or when the case requires specific on-site skills, we assess a direct intervention by our own technician. The choice depends on urgency, technical complexity, workload criticality and the commercial agreement.
