Monza e Brianza at a glance
Monza: the manufacturing fabric and its server infrastructure.
Monza e Brianza is one of the Italian provinces with the highest density of manufacturing SMEs. Historically known for its furniture design district (Brianza meant "furniture design" long before modern Made in Italy), today it hosts a mix of precision engineering, packaging, fine chemicals, plastics and — inherited from the IBM/STMicroelectronics years in Vimercate — a substantial IT sector.
For our hardware work this means mid-sized ERP server estates: typically 2-6 physical servers per manufacturing company, with mixed virtualisation clusters (Hyper-V or vSphere) running business management systems, terminal servers, file servers and production applications (MES, planning systems). Continuous load, production downtime that is hard to absorb, often with integrated SQL Server Standard / Microsoft 365 licensing.
From Melzo we reach Monza in 45-60 minutes via the SS36/Tangenziale Est. Vimercate, Concorezzo, Agrate Brianza (with its long-standing industrial hub) are closer still. Seregno, Desio, Lissone, in the heart of the furniture district, are slightly further out.

# Server profile
Brianza profile: manufacturing SMEs with 2-4 node clusters on Dell PowerEdge R740/R650 or HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10. Workloads: ERP systems (SAP Business One, Mago.net, Zucchetti), terminal servers for 20-80 users, file servers with SAS storage or a dedicated Synology NAS. 10G networking as standard, 25G rarely. Virtualisation often on Hyper-V Windows Server, matching the in-house skills of the customers' own sysadmins.
